Show your PhD is a competition in which you can combine your research subject with your artistic passion !

Created in the framework of Mons 2015, European Capital of Culture, the “Show your PhD” competition offers a platform for the cultural expression of science.

It is an opportunity for all scientists to put their artistic sensibility at the service of science : choose the medium that thrills you to popularise your research. The disciplines can be varied: drawing, painting, dancing, singing, video, music, cooking, macramé, humour… surprise us !

This year, we are accepting proposals in teams. This is the time to motivate your colleagues around a common project!

At the end of the presentation of your work, a grand prize will be offered to the person who will seduce our jury composed of experts in art and science. A participation prize will be awarded to all candidates.

Mention the name of the candidate (or of the team representative and other team members for group projects), your research topic, the type of performance you plan to do and a few words on how you think you can link the two.

Show your PhD, c’est un concours dans lequel vous pouvez mêler à la fois votre sujet de recherche et votre passion artistique ! 

Créé dans le cadre de Mons 2015, capitale européenne de la culture, le concours « Show your PhD » offre une tribune à l’expression culturelle de la science. 

C’est l’occasion pour tous les scientifiques de mettre leur sensibilité artistique au service de la science : choisissez le médium qui vous fait vibrer pour vulgariser votre recherche. Les disciplines peuvent être variées : dessin, peinture, danse, chant, vidéo, musique, cuisine, macramé, humour… surprenez-nous ! 

Cette année, nous acceptons les propositions en équipe. C’est le moment de motiver vos collègues autour d’un projet commun ! 

A l’issue de la présentation de vos travaux, un grand prix sera offert à celui ou celle qui saura séduire notre jury composé d’experts en art et en science. Un prix de participation sera remis à tous les candidats.
